Scholarships.
The new mandate provides financial assistance to male and female athletes attending the University of Calgary, Mount Royal University and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, and other institutions, who are playing on the Varsity hockey teams, as well as maintaining a high Academic GPA.
In addition to scholarly athletes the COTHPA contributions list has expanded to much more than the initial scope and now supports not only the original concepts but also many other varied persons or groups in need and offers scholarships to players at other institutions as well.
